When it comes to guitars, one size does not fit all. Let us help you realize your full potential with a guitar that is built just for you.

Guitars

Concert Classical

The Concert Classical is designed for those who want the full sound, tonalities and projection of a  traditional classical guitar. Thomas Concert Classicals are made in the traditional Spanish way. The size, shape and bracing are based on the Hauser and  Rodiquez models and are intended to provide the necessary balance, clarity and sustain for performance or recording needs. For ease of playing I offer a fingerboard with a choice of a compound radius or the traditional flat fretboard.

“I purchased my George Thomas Concert Classical guitar 5 years ago, and to this day it remains my favorite instrument.”

— Todd S.

Cascadia

The Cascadia is a popular model. Although the shape has 19th and early 20th century influences, the overall design is one way to deal with ergonomic issues. The Cascadia is designed with a small body, short scale. Cascade I is designed for nylon strings and the slightly larger Cascadian II for steel strings.

The fingerboard has a compound radius, the neck has an asymetrical shape and there is a cut-away. The neck will feel familiar to steel string acoustic guitar players. The thinner neck is reinforced with carbon fiber rod. The Cascadia can be ordered with an armrest bevel, Manzer style wedge or both.

Our intention is the design of a guitar that incorporates features to help prevent right arm and shoulder injuries as well as provide more a comfortable neck and fingerboard. All of this in a guitar that has the volume, projection and full-bodied voice of a much larger guitar.

“I cannot believe the sound that comes out of this little guitar. The low tones are deep and rich and the high tones are bright and shiny.”

— Heidi M.

Islands

The Islands model guitar is was introduced in 2010. The body is a little longer than the Cascadia and it has a more traditional shape. The size is similar to a Martin model 1.  Like the Cascadia, it is made for nylon strings although can be made for steel strings. The armrest bevel will be part of the basic package for this guitar. A cutaway and chest bevel are additional options.

“I am totally enthralled by the voices that come out of this beautiful little guitar!  The sound is that of a well mannered 000 or larger size instrument in the comfortable-to-play parlor packaging.  The sustain available never seems to fade.   Fit and finish are flawless, craftsmanship is superb.  Everyone that plays it drops a jaw and says, ‘Woah...’  then smiles broadly.  Anyone looking to downsize everything but the sound should look into ordering one of these Islands!”

— Gary G.

Butterfly

The Butterfly model is a more recent and smaller model.  It is designed for people with smaller hands  and the comfort of a smaller body. It has a very short scale of 22.88”.  Although designed for six nylon strings a few have been requested with four strings. This model has also been build with a Manzer style wedge.

“Been playing it for 9 1/2 hours... It's the most comfortable guitar I have ever played. Normally, I'd have sore fingers, hands and shoulders playing that long; they feel fine. I'm still shaking my head that I have a guitar I can actually play effortlessly. The resonance and overtones are incredible...”

— Patrick M.

Other Instruments

In addition to the models described I also have made ukuleles, square and round neck resonator guitars, dulcimers and five and seven sting guitars.

“Your guitar is life-changing.”
